SPOC, Spin-off Curaçao

Curaçao is an island in the Carribean and part of the Netherlands Antilles. Curaçao is suffering from an economic crisis. It needs new investments and new business creations to overcome the high level of unemployment. SPOC offers the following:

• Identification of spin-off ideas within (large) companies and institutions on Curaçao;
• Identification of new entrepreneurs in the Netherlands willing to start a new company on Curaçao based on one of these ideas;
• Matching of the spin-off ideas with the new entrepreneurs;
• Assistance on business development and follow-ups of the realisation.

The SPOC project runs since 1997. Via the SPOC-programme several new companies and joint-ventures have been established on Curaçao. Each year a number ofentrepreneurs seminars are held in The Netherlands and in Curaçao. In the recent years the SPOC website was introduced. Many potential entrepreneurs already found their way to this site. It provides concrete possiblitities and valuable information on starting a company on Curaçao.
