TPIP, Training Programme for Innovation Process

This training programme was especially developped for managers of Industrial Liaison Offices and of Incubators, Science Parks and for staff members of Universities. It has been constructed by the University of Twente, the University of Santa Catarina in Brazil, the CERTI-foundation in Brazil and Van der Meer & van Tilburg innovation consultants.

TPIP was funded by CRE-Columbus and was strongly focused on the transfer of know-how in innovation processes from Europe to Latin America. TPIP took place over a period of time of approximately 4 months and has been developed over a three step approach:

• Step 1: 8 days workshop in Latin America. Setting the scene and preparing participants for developping their regional business plan.
• Step 2: Halfway feedback by mail on the draft business plans.
• Step 3: a 14 days trip to Europe, with a presentation of the regional business plans for a panel of experts and a field trip to various examples of Incubators/Science Parks in Europe.
